MomBrandLove is the newest category on this blog. This is in awe of mompreneurs who lovingly put a lot of effort in their business along with juggling tasks for kids, husband, the home and everything in between! I hope that my blog will be an avenue for other moms to discover mom-made products. Moms support moms, yeah!
It’s amazing when motherhood pushes us to be more than what we are destined for. I’ve seen businesses and brands come about because these ladies saw the need for such products when they became mothers. Contrary to what others say that life stops when you have kids, these mompreneurs are testimonies that combining business and motherhood is possible, especially if your inspiration for your product is your kid. Just like this mompreneur who developed My Little Adventurer.
Angela Poulain left a promising career in the Philippines, packed all her things and moved to London with her husband in her 36th week of pregnancy! After a month in a new country, she gave birth to Theo and all her plans of applying for another job flew out the window. Being a stay-at-home mom, she wanted to spend a lot of quality and meaningful time with her son. Sure they go to parks, play with manipulatives and read books, but how can she encourage her son to be welcoming of technology? She got the idea of creating an app that would encourage a love for reading and get the child and parents interacting! After 6 months of studying Mobile App Development online, researching and taking care of a baby, My Little Adventurer was born!
Angela’s journey is nothing short of amazing! Imagine having to learn something completely different from what you’re used to doing all the while taking care of a baby! She is such an inspiration! I’ve tried using the app with Z and he loves that he is the main character in the story! Making him in-charge of what will happen in helps in building his confidence!
As with all start-up projects funding is the inevitable issue. So, with all your help, please share and donate to My Little Adventurer’s Kickstarter page!
Do you know of other mom-run brands that I can write about? Send me details at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’d love to know more moms to support!
