Preggy Buys: Belly Armor

One of the first things I bought when the preggy test read positive was a Belly Blanket from Belly Armor. Recommended by my friend Em who was pregnant then, I know that it would be a worthwhile purchase.

Call me praning but I’d take that extra step in protecting my little one. My everyday companions are highly radioactive and different studies suggest that it is harmful. And the Belly Blanket will go a long way because I can use it as a receiving blanket for my baby since s/he will be living in a wifi-enabled home and be surrounded by tablets and smartphones!

And to my preggy luck, I won a Belly Band from Belly Armor from Jackie’s blog! I was really close to buying one since I won’t be staying home most of the time naman, and radiation is very much everywhere. I’ve worn it countless of times and it’s really comfortable. I’m glad Geraldyn picked out the right size for me!

By next year, the Perez sisters who are the official distributors of Belly Armor in the Philippines will also have nursing covers armed with RadiaShield. That’s on my to-buy list since I know I’ll be nursing again. And while nursing, I’ll be checking my phones or blogging!

Belly Armor products are available in Rustan’s, Babyland, Nurture Nook and they are around bazaars everywhere. Like their Facebook Page and Instagram to know more.

Prenatal Yoga and Workshop Series

I’m so happy that there are many choices for learning being offered to expecting parents nowadays. It’s really good to feel that there are others who are with you in this journey. Manila Workshops and Babyland present the “Prenatal Yoga and Workshop Series”.

The first session is on March 8, and will continue for all the Saturdays of March. Each session will start at 2:30PM with a workshop, depending on the topic for the day. A one hour prenatal yoga class by Urban Ashram will definitely make you calm and relaxed. All of the sessions will be held at Spaces by Babyland along Shaw Blvd.

I suggest you reserve your slot for all the four sessions now! That will only be Php. 3,000! Register by visiting or you may also call 531-1367 for further questions.

Oh and if you do register, be sure your partners will be coming with you! These learning sessions will make for a great bonding time before the baby comes. This workshop is open to all preggy mamas, no matter what trimester you’re in.

Pregnant Pause 4

My first Mommy Mundo event was Pregnant Pause. I remember the day like it was just yesterday… It was at The Stock Market in Bonifacio High Street and we arrived just after Maricel Laxa – Pangilinan’s talk about her book. We were served yummy food and I won a Mommy Matters nursing top in the raffle! That’s where we also learned more about CordLife and set up a meeting with our agent, Michelle to settle the payment. Oh.. That was where I first saw Kris when she talked about Aquasana and her blog, which opened me to a plethora of mommy blogs! And some of those mom-bloggers are now my friends!!

So for those belly blessed, there’s another enriching event Mommy Mundo has planned for all of you: Pregnant Pause 4.

This will be on August 10, Saturday at the Babyland Showroom along Shaw Boulevard. From 1:00 PM to 4 in the afternoon, expecting moms and dads will be learning about cool stuff on modern parenting. There will be a talk on Baby Sign Language with Jaymie Pizarro, which I should’ve attended before!!! Dona Esteban will help moms take care of their body after giving birth and fellow SoMoms Eliza and Jenny will share experiences on breastfeeding and parenting, respectively.

Attendance is free but pre-registration is a must! Send the following details to 0917-627.24.25 or 0908-865.72.45 : name; partner’s name; number of weeks pregnant. Only those with confirmation texts will be accommodated.

For more information, visit the Mommy Mundo website. See you there!
